Work as a Mercenary in Mount and Blade 2

Once players begin working on the Rebuild Your Clan questline and complete the first mission, they will be able to become a mercenary. Players will just need to journey to a kingdom they are interested in and speak to a lord to see if they have any work. Players will then be able to complete all sorts of jobs for that lord, with some of them even resulting in large scale battles against rival lords.

These battles are where players will be able to earn the most amount of money as they will be given both loot and prisoners. Players who perform well can also become a vassal to their lord and begin earning taxes from local villages.

As stated earlier players can just sell these weapons off for quick cash, but there is a much more efficient way to earn money doing this. Most players don't realize that they can actually go to their local smithy and smelt all of those weapons down. Doing so gives players essential components that are worth much more money than the weapons themselves.

In order to smelt things, players will need to have access to charcoal. This is as easy as taking a bunch of hardwood to a forge and refining it into charcoal. For every two hardwood players can make one piece of charcoal. This is more than worth it though as weapons that may only be worth a few dozen denar, can be sold for a few hundred once players smelt them down.
